The Challenge

I was approached by an established European business who were looking to break into a new market and were unsure if an opportunity existed or if they should invest their time and efforts focusing elsewhere on growing their home markets.

Actions

Using my knowledge and contacts in the market, as well as some market reports, I was able to map out clearly the major channels and customers in the country of choice, and detailing a profile of each customer along with a traffic light system to prioritise the accounts that would offer the greatest opportunity and sales potential.

Conclusions

The final report was well received by the board and also included some suggestions on how to go forward with the plan in terms of market research of the existing product range, along with some key business development actions to turn the plan into reality.
